My neighbor is in a horrible situation that she is trying like heck to get out of but the system is totally letting her down. Her 19 month old baby gets sick, fever, nausea, vomiting, and she finds a large lump in the back of her mouth. It’s a Holiday, she has no money, is trying to get the kids on medicaid, can’t get in to her pediatrician cuz she has no money….so she takes the child to the ER. The child also has a condition where her urine backflushes in to her kidneys due to a congenital disorder, and has been on profilactic antibiotics, until her mother’s life went to hell, and she could no longer afford the medicine. The ER DR. told, her he couldn’t help her, refused to give the child a shot of Penicillin, and would’nt give her mom a script for ant. He told her wouldn’t do any good anyway, and pretty much dismissed her, without antibiotics for a BACTERIAL infection, and told her to take the kid to her regular Dr. knowing he won’t see her because she has no money. Pls Help!

I have a friend who seems to have all the symptoms associated with PTSD (She was severely abused as a child and went through several abusive relationships over a period of decades). She is now in a position where she cannot afford traditional medical treatment and would like a homeopathic or herbal approach to the disorder. My 11 month old daughter is battling a sever cold these days. She has not been able to get a good night sleep since thursday of last week becuase she is so congested. I have tried everythig I can think of and followed all the Dr.’s recomendations but nothing seems to be helping her. My Aunt who is a certified RN had mentioned benedryl to help dry her out, Anyone tried this before? She looked up the recommended doses and for my daughters weight it was about 1/2 teaspoon. Just wondering had anyone given their child benedryl and did it help or not? Plus any other tried and successful treatments are helpful as well! Thank you!!!
Thank yo uall so much for your replys. I hae the vicks vaporizor in the bedroom with her, she is sleeping elevated( but she likes to sleep o her tummy with her **** up in the air…lol so that doesn’t work very well…lol) I have fourn the vapor baths work while she is in the bath and it at least breaks up the mucus. Then I rub the littl colds vapor gel on her chest but she still wakes up about every 20-40 minutes throughout the night.

The saline drops in the nose with the asporator (or buger sucker as I call it) is always a fight but I do it. She had an ear infection 2 weeks ago and just wen toff her antibiotics on the 26th. So just about everything we are doing and she still seems so miserable!

I usually just wait it out an dgrin and bear it, I just feel so bad because she hasn’t gotten a good nights sleep since thursday Poor Thing:( ( oh and neither have moomy or daddy…lol but I am okay with that
