Someone gave me a homeopathic remedy (pills) called Angiplex for sore throats or strep throat.
Anyone familiar with this remedy???
If so, PLEASE explain the dosage to me.
it is not stated on the box and the person who gave it to me doesnt know either (this person got it from someone else, but never took it)

Background:

For several years now I’ve suffered from a kind of herpes (non contagious) that according to my doctor is a variant of the same strain that produces fever blisters. Apparently, this strain is very rare, with only one in several thousand people having it. I think he said that it’s a chance for everyone to get it, but it’s just something that rarely happens.

This variation produces a number of ulcers on my throat and palate, which begin first as a series of small blisters. The outbreaks last usually about a week or two at the most, though I’ve had some last only a few days. Since it’s a viral problem, there’s not much I can really do about it, save search for a way to deal with the pain.

(Imagine a sore throat, then multiply it by several hundred and you have my pain.)

Here’s the problem. I detest drugs, and while I do have a back up of loracet should the pain become too much to handle, I don’t like the idea of taking them. So I need something to use in the mean time. Is there any effective pain medication (Ibuprofen helps but not long enough) or homeopathic trick I can do to ease the pain from the ulcers?

I’m in my mid 20’s, and I’ve been diagnosed with mono now since last August, so roughly 8 months. It is really debilitating: fever recurring forr the first few months, fatigue, low mood, constant recurrence of sore throat,white patches on tonsils, swollen lymph nodes on neck. These symptoms seem to appear whenever it seems. Many credible sites like WebMd say mono is suppose to go away w/in weeks but that is not the case w/ me. Besides drinking lots of fluid and getting plenty of rest, is there anything treat this ailment?

I have a cold and I am miserable. Over the counter meds dont work and doctors cant give anything for a cold they say give it time..it will go away….any natural home remedies or anything to help relieve my symptoms..stuffy & runny nose(yes, at the same time.) and a sore, scratchy throat.(I know what youre thinking and im not doing that, my husband already asked and im not that desperate)

11 days ago I had an extreme sore throat, mild elevated temperature, stuffy nose. Went to the doctor on Tuesday and she said “it’s a cold virus”. Now, I am STILL sick after all these days. Well, I guess I should say that I still have a yucky nose and I am tired, sore throat and fever are long gone.
I should also add that I worked all week, too and did a lot of running around on Thursday and Friday. Not smart with a cold, I know. I have been taking Cold Eeze and using my Neti pot to flush out my nose several times a day (I have MANY medication allergies so I tend to use homeopathic methods).
Everyone just keeps telling me to take a vitamin, drink plenty of OJ, and REST!! Any other suggestions? I am sick of being sick.
