We did plant them properly and watered them everyday. The middle of them are brown. I raked all around the bottom and put Bonemeal and food and raked that as well and soaked it. Is there anything else I should do? When we planted them we put earth and sheep manure.

I have 6 of these evergreens that are 6 years old and quite large. It’s been a bad winter and several of them are very brown along one side from all the snow. They are definitely alive. Would it speed up new growth to trim off the dead brown patches when the weather gets warmer? Normally you do not trim Thujas, but am wondering if it would help.

I have a little house in the suburbs in NC and I’m thinking of planting them as a natural barrier. Anyone have any feedback about this tree?

Does anyone have these trees? One or the other or both? I am looking for a fast growing screen tree/bush. I like these b/c they grow very tall. I’ve read up on both of them and it seems the thuja green giant is heartier? Need some advice & thoughts please for anyone that has these.

Do they like dry, or wet, hot, or cool, in shade or in sunshine? How about soil conditions?

This 6ft tall tree has only been in the ground for a year. The bark is scraped off of this damaged top piece, and it is bending over. Will the tree be stronger if I cut it off, or should I leave it alone?

I’m getting ready to buy Thuja Green Giant trees for privacy. I live in zone 5 (NY) and plan to buy the smallest ones. Do I transplant them in the fall, and if so, are they going to make it through the cold winter just being planted? They will be planted in an exposed area and I just want to make sure they’ll be ok.

can i take a branch from a pre exsisting tree to replant it somewhere else in my garden? how do i get new trees from old ones that i already have?
thanks
the kind of tree im talking about is the garden fence like tall ones. we already have a bunch of them in the garden and been there for years and years,, but was wondering if i can replant parts of them, i cant test it cuz the leaves are always green so i wouldnt notice the difference if they are dead. for pics of the tree check this link
