I’ve had some ear wax lately in my left ear, and I found some ear wax removal drops that we must have bought a while back (without carefully reading the box, which listed the ear drops as being homeopathic).

The active ingredients are Causticum 12X, Graphites 15X, Lachesis 12X, and Lycopodium 12X.
The inactive ingredient is *glycerin*.

These drops are essentially glycerin drops, since the high diluting procedure almost completely (if not completely) eliminates the original substance from the mixture. As it turns out, glycerin is known to help dissolve ear wax. The homeopathic elements have, in many clinical studies, been shown to have no efficacy at all. However, the drops themselves worked. The big question is, was it the homeopathic aspect that worked or the purely chemical aspect that made it work? Was this company (Similasan) pulling a trick - making it look like their homeopathy really works?

lol how many people do you know that have gotten better off of “natural” cures???

yeah, thats what i thought.
and if this stuff works and has been used for centuries, why has the life expectancy doubled in the last 100 years or so since the introduction of modern medicine while it stayed about the same for centuries?
