I am not getting any answers from anywhere else & it really is quite urgent that I get advice from somebody soon. Please take the time to hear me out. I went out & bought several of the items listed on a web-site yesterday to get started with a homeopathic treatment for my 8 yr old male Sheltie/mix, who was diagnosed last Thursday with Atopic dermatitis. I am not employed at this time & need to work with just the items I have on hand. If you could just please help me with the right dosage & how many times a day, I would be truly grateful to you. I say it is urgent because my vet (conventional) has come up with a plan that is suppose to start today.(Tues. Sept. 2nd) What he wants to do is put “Buddy” on a daily regimen of tetracycline & prednisone for the rest of his life. (Which probably wouldn’t be much longer if I allowed that to happen! (from what I’ve read.) He gave him a shot of the above mentioned “cocktail” on Thursday & said that it would last for a week & then we would start giving him the anti-biotic/cortisone mixture starting tomorrow. (He said that it would cost me $45 a month to keep “Buddy” on this ungodly concoction knowing full well that I am not working, & what the long-term effects could be on my dog.) Here’s what I have on hand & I could sure use your help on how to administer it. I think this would be a good start before I can get some money to buy anything else, don’t you? Buddy is 75 lbs. Please if you would, give me the dosages, & how many x a day for his weight. (I really need someone to work with me…)

Omega-3 Fish oil 1200 mg (softgel)
Evening Primrose Oil 1000 mg (softgel)
Zinc (not chelated) 50mg (micro-thin coated caplet)
Querticin + C 500 mg querticin/1400mg Vit.C (capsules)
Vitamin E 1000 I.U. (softgel)
Echinacea 400mg (capsules)
Chidren’s Allergy Dyphenhydramine 12.5mg per teaspoon (liquid)

This is what I bought for the topical use:

Colloidal Oatmeal Shampoo
Itch Relief Spray (Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Benzyl Alcohol)
Aloe Vera cooling gel w/menthol
Coltrimazole 1% ointment
sage
thyme
rosemary
tea bags
cooking oats
apple cider vinegar
