My 5 month old puppy got diagnosed with Lymes yesterday, he is taking antibiotics for 4- 6 weeks, are there any natural remedies, homeopathic remedies that might help in conjunction with the antibiotics?
Will the antibiotics be harmful for such of a long time??
He came with Lymes from the breeder, it is very sad!

We were forced to shave my sister’s head since she is naturally blond and blond’s were created by the devil to tempt man. She wasn’t exactly a willing spirit and so her head was burned and cut a bit during the struggle. We were successful in saving her soul, but I also want to salvage her scalp. Does anyone have any natural remedies that would heal her up and ease the pain a little for her?

Jεssιcα asked:
Does anyone know anything about homeopathic pet care or has anyone ever treated their pet with homeopathic care? I recently had one of my chinchillas at the vets and he was treated with flower essences - http://www.equilite.com Here’s a similar product: http://www.bachflower.com/ The vet first used one to calm him down (and it worked) so she could examine him and then prescribed one for me to give him to help with stress (he’s a high stress, fur-biter). I was just curious if anyone else has ever used flower essences to treat their pet or some other type of homeopathic care (ozone therapy, accupunture, and I forget what all else the vet mentioned). If you have used something natural, did it work? If you haven’t used it, is it something that would interest you or are you more into “conventional” treatments?
Joseph F - Yes SHE really is a vet and just because you don’t agree with the homeopathic method doesn’t mean she deserves to lose her license. She’s an excellent vet who provides these alternative methods to those that are interested. I would also like to mention that she does not treat serious illnesses with natural cures (like a ferret suffering from adrenal), it’s more for emotional problems (like an animal suffering from separation exciting or, in my case, a high-stress chinchilla) and can also be used with conventional treatments. They’re used to naturally treat imbalances between the mind and body. Apparently they CAN work in animals, because I’ve noticed a change in my chin already and there are tons of success stories out there. Also, the good thing about the natural remedies is, if it doesn’t work, there are NO negative side effects. You can disagree with the method, but that doesn’t mean my vet is a bad one or that she should lose her license.

I hear natural remedies being referred to as homeopathic, but I remember hearing something a while indicating this is not necessarily so. Could someone clear up exactly what makes a medicine ‘homeopathic’?

fluropink asked: I have manic depression, AND also terrible PMT. Although this is managed with medication, I wish that there was something more homeopathic that I could do or take to relieve these symptoms. Starflower oil helped quite a lot, but very expensive - can anyone who has been through the same help at all?
Thanks in advance! (hopefully)! x

I was just diagnosed with a stomach ulcer and started taking Prevacid. I don’t like the side effects (or the cost!) and was wondering if anyone has any natural, alternative remedies or if medication is the only answer. Thanks, any replys would be appreciated!

Rob asked: I’ve got Blue Cross coverage, and I can’t tell from their directory of doctors who would be more likely to have an alternative medicine leaning (in other words, if there’s a problem, the first answer isn’t just a pharmeseutical one, but might involve nutrition/natural remedies.)
Any thoughts of how to find a doctor like this? Thanks!

Jacob’s Mommy (Plus One) asked:
Any ideas where I can find information on natural remedies or homeopathic medicine/remedies for Bi-Polar disorder?
I am not Bi-Polar…my husband is. He has been taking his medicine for the last 3 years (since he was diagnosed), but he keeps saying that the meds make him feel worse so he wants to try going without. I reluctantly agreed, but told him that if I don’t like the way he begins to act and treat people that either he will go back to his Dr. and be re-evaluated for medicine or I will leave him with no questions asked. He agreed.

I’m looking for something that REALLY works. I’ve tried Kava but it didn’t do much. I’m looking for something short-term that doesn’t take weeks to be effective. Thanks!
