DIIII asked: Can anyone tell me why, if I take any hormonal precursors I become sick - feel like I have the flu after a couple days. Even homeopathic supplements make me sick. What’s going on? I am 43, an avid weightlifter, but given my age it is significantly more difficult to change my body composition than it used to be. Anytime I take hormonal precursors (with the exception of zinc as a testosterone precursor), even under the supervision of a Dr. (for sub-acute hypothyroidism), I get sick within three days of taking the supplements (natural or synthetic).
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I had my thyroid checked but my doctor says its fine. Thyroid disease runs in my family. my symptoms are: sluggishness, sometimes hard to focus, hard to lose weight easy to gain weight, i have slightly high testosterone, lots of ****** hair, low libido, low hdl (50), acne mostly on back and shoulders but some ****** and some cystic, i have been diagnosed with slight Pcos but i dont have most of the symptoms, i sleep alot and i have a low temperature.
I am looking for a natural supplement i could take and see if it would help. I cant take most vitamins because they cause extreme stomach discomfort. I was thinking i would need something herbal or homeopathic.
i forgot to mention im only 25

clllittle asked:
Letter from Dr re: recent bloodwork says, “thyroid levels were low and you would benefit from taking a thydroid supplement. Please call to start med.” I don’t want to take meds. I take nothing now and don’t want to start! I am a 57 yr old female, 6 years into menopause. This is first bloodwork in 4 years. I am a runner. No weight problem. Symptoms, if you want to call them that, are: hot flashes, slower/inconsistant running, some insomnia, little interest in sex, mild fatigue. All of which I attributed to menopause. Of course, I’d be happy to have improvement there, but they’re not a big problem.
Just got the letter so haven’t discussed with Dr. what the levels are and how I might benefit from the meds. Looking for info and homeopathic suggestions before I tell him I don’t want to take the meds.

Oh Deary Me asked: alright, I cannot seem to lose weight.
I just feel tired constantly so, no I do not work out as much as I should. I really AM looking for a quick fix, but I understand that doesn’t actually exist. But you get that I want this to work, and want it to happen quickly. Diet pills I have heard work on some, but I want to hear if they actually work on normal people. Same with homeopathic things. both I have heard work, but do they really?
and if you are just going to sit there and type “just eat less, exercise more” or “just eat small 4-5 meals a day” or “eat healthy, don’t snack” I think I will scream.
I am looking for real help here. I am not HUGE but by no means do I think I look “healthy”.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me.
*p.s. is there any chance I could have an under active thyroid?”
